The Athenaeum is hosting an open house to view its beautiful location on the Cal Tech campus this Sunday. If you are looking for an absolutely gorgeous venue for your wedding (or any other party, like a Bar/Bat Mitzvah) please check out the invite for details (you will need to RSVP). Even if you already have a location it might just be fun to check out some of the vendors- we will be there with three table top designs showcasing our work. Here are a few events that we have done in the past....
Here are a few photos of work we have done there in the past....one of my favorite places to work (i even had my wedding on the Cal Tech campus, although not exactly at the Ath- but it is great for photos!!!)

{Andrea & Kenny}
Andrea and Kenny celebrated their big day at the Langham Hotel's Japanese Garden and the gorgeous Georgian Ballroom. The couple loved the idea of incorporating birds into the plum, lavender and lime green color palette and designs. For the "love birds" we created designs of plum and lavender tulips, viburnum, lilac, Blue Curiousa roses an d mauve-y pink cymbidium orchids. Bleached manzanita branches accented both the tall and low centerpieces and whimsical little birds accented the branches.. The cake was really fun to decorate- for each layer of the unusual green frosted cake I add tiny birch branches and strategically placed little birds, al resting on a large wood "stump" serving as a cake plateau. The bride chose to carry a romantic and soft bouquet of blush and cream peonies, white garden roses accented with green hypericum berries. The ceremony was kept simple for such a beautiful and lush setting. The red Japanese bridge was draped in ivory chiffon drapes and accented with complimentary flowers in the plum, lavender and lime green color pallete.
